GeolOil provides two classes of free petrophysics software licenses (Free, and Donations), and four affordable classes of paid licenses. All of them (even the free ones) provide the same complete computational and display capabilities.

All free and paid classes include the processing of LAS and GLOG files, mnemonics & alias edition and assignation, well log plot displays, programmable work-flows with 127 classical functions to compute properties like porosity, water saturations, mineral solvers, GLS easy petrophysics scripting for processing well log curves and to code your own formulas and algorithms, ionic water analyses, summaries and upscalings to compute properties summaries like net-pay, pay flags, porosity, water saturation, equivalent hydrocarbon column per zone or formation, and more.

All GeolOil licenses allow to load, read and process LAS, GLOG, and directional Survey files. However, these classes differ on several features: Commercial use, customer Support, Water Marked displays, Save & export capabilities, user registration, expiration dates, prices, and the need for internet and server accesses. There are no differences on computational behaviour.

NOTES:

1. The free F class licenses run out of the box once installed. They don't require any payment. They don't even need any registration or the creation of an user account. However, countries subject to USA and UN nations are not eligible for these licenses. At any time, a free F license can be upgraded to a paid license by activating it.


2. The life-time P Perennial class licenses (never expire) are the only ones that do not require internet and server connections. However, they are only offered occasionally, and are not eligible for countries subject to USA and UN nations.
   
   These are the preferred licenses purchased by financial and bank investors with geology departments looking to buy oil & gas fields, national and international government agencies, independent petrophysicist and geology consultants, and small or medium size companies. As they run without internet connection, they are ideal for safety, and to install on powerful laptops running on remote locations and well drilling spots.


3. The paid licenses, classes S, T, and L, are automatically converted to class F free licenses once expired. However, they can be upgraded at any time to L or P class statuses upon payment.
